About
This blog is now going to be dedicated purely to my hobby of RPGs, namely during the golden age of Dungeon & Dragons Third Edition and d20 system. During this time Dungeons and Dragons became the primary system that wished to include all types of Fantasy Genres. Other companies were invited to use the rule set under the D20 OGL.
It was during this time the Golden Age of RPG was set, for it connected hundred of gaming worlds and companies through a common system of play. A wealth of information was shred as well as new innovative ideas were created, even older campaign settings lost time time were resurrected and flourished once more.
Sadly the Golden Age came to end, when Fall of Dungeons and Dragons came in the guise of 4E. The system destroyed the co-operative efforts of a gaming community and went back to the roots of secluded game play and individual RPG systems. Various companies were sent "Cease and Desist" letters indicating that the D20 OGL was no more. Many were prohibited from making any profits, becuase the parent company was affected by the competition financially and wished to regain control.
However, hope had survived.... as the D20 OGL had a catch 22. There was a way from the Golden Age of D20 to survive... and that was a variation on the system. Despite the "Cease and Desist", certain companies have found a new system to go under.... Pathfinder Roleplay System, Mastercraft, and the True 20 system are three well known examples of the varient D20OGL. What is better yet, is that if you missed the opportunity to purchase these products.... they are available in the forms of PDFs you can purchase through RPGNow or the parents companies website.
Now, as you will notice I do not challenge any of the Campaign Settings creators or parent companies. The Logos and Maps images are available readily on the net. There are used to help identify the campaign settings with a familiar and known logo. The maps are examples of the entire world which I hope will bring further interest to my hobby. Also some pics are created at Meez.com. Adventure awaits!
