"Uncle" happens to be Jackie Chan's uncle in the "Jackie Chan Adventures". Uncle currently runs an antique store in San Francisco, in which his nephew Jackie "acquires various objects of interest for his shop. During one of Jackie's Adventures, "Uncle" becomes involved in an adventure involving an ancient demon dragon sorcerer known as Shandu and other ancients entities that ruled the world in ages past..
When he was an adult, he learned Chi Magic from a Master Fong, whom he studied for 15 years. During his tutalegde he was taught Chi Magic and learned much lore of the mystical and ancient world. An all purpose incantation is used by benevolent Chi Wizards, "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao", is often recited by Uncle as he creates magical effects and items for the group. He has repaired magical artifacts, created talisman of the eight fortunes, undid hexes, and many other things. His most common magical tools are a dried salamander or pufferfish. He has managed to many magical feats with his limited skill through sheer willpower and wile. He even manage to defeat on numerous occasion, Daolon Wong, the Dark Chi wizard who did away with Master Fong.
When he was younger, he was a member of the "Seven Little Fortunes" opera troupe where he learned the basics of gymnastics and some martial arts training. When he came to America, he became an accomplished Disco Dancer during the 70's. Later he settled in a life in which he eventually became a historian of sorts and led to him to become an Antique Store owner. Sometime during this time is when he delved into Chi Magic.
